About this Event

Awakening the View: Embodying Nondual Awareness with Lisa Witter will happen on Tuesdays from September 16th - October 7th in subsitution of Releasing Into Presence while Chandra is on retreat.

Discover nondual Tantra in a 4-part series with Lisa Witter—teachings & meditations on the tantric view to awaken embodied divine awareness. In nondual Tantra, "the view" refers to our fundamental understanding of reality—how we perceive ourselves, the world, and the nature of consciousness itself. In the tradition of nondual Shaiva Tantra, we contemplate the view as a transformative practice that directly undermines our limited understanding of reality. Through the empowered method (śāktopāya), we use the very power of understanding to dissolve the mental constructs that keep us feeling separate and bound, allowing us to embody this sacred perspective. This four-part series weaves together the profound teachings from Christopher Wallis's book Tantra Illuminated with embodied meditation practices designed to help you directly recognize and live from nondual awareness. Each session combines an exploration of the tantric view with guided practices that allow you to taste this recognition in your own direct experience. You'll discover how aligned view and practice work together to awaken the continuous recognition of your own divine nature—not as concept, but as lived reality. Perfect for practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of how tantric wisdom translates into everyday awakening.

What to Expect: Each class will begin with a short teaching that introduces a theme or concept from non-dual Tantric tradition followed by a guided (seated) meditation practice. Class will end with time for reflection, sharing and integration. Meditations will utilize a combination of work with the subtle body (chakras and nadis), breath (pranayama), sound (mantra) and visualization. All levels welcome. Each class includes teaching, guided meditation, and integration practices for embodying the view in daily life.

This class is in-person and streamed online. Drop-ins welcome.

Lisa Witter is a Non-Dual meditation teacher and psycho-spiritual counselor with more than two decades of experience guiding students in accessible and transformative meditation practices. Her work is rooted in the living traditions of Non-Dual Tantra, specifically Trika Śaivism and Śrī Vidyā. She has studied with Christopher Wallis and currently continues advanced study and practice with the Swami Lakshmanjoo Academy, Stanishwar Timilsina of the Vimarsha Foundation, and her guru, Śrī Yuganandanatha of Śrī Vidyā Tantra Peedom in Kerala. Lisa is the founder of the Tantric Arts Collective and the Living Tantra Project, and creator of The Karmic Warrior Oracle. Her teaching bridges classical Tantric wisdom with modern psychological insight, guiding students to embody Tantra as a lived experience, not just a practice on the cushion.
