Music Lab is an opportunity to explore the possibilities of music technology as a means experimenting, creating, recording, editing, and mixing music. The workshops will expand your composition boundaries and production techniques.
Whether you're a seasoned musician or just starting out, don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow music lovers and make some exciting music together!
Music Lab will be led by tutor , together with a selection of professional musicians. Participants will create soundscapes together with the musicians, using traditional musical instruments as well other sound sources, such as found sound and voice, to create experimental music and sound art. Apps, synthesisers, loops and other elements of sound recording and editing will also be used and participants are also welcome to bring their own instruments. There will be no barriers to what you can create!
Music Lab is open to anyone aged 14 - 18 yrs with an enthusiasm for music and a creative mind. If you are outside of this age range, please get in touch at [email protected] to discuss other opportunities.
Music Lab one of our projects as part of the Young Creatives programme which is a diverse, exploratory, innovative and experimental programme of activity, with and for young people. Whatever the artform, at the heart of our ‘young creatives’ programme is the desire to encourage arts-led inquiry, and offer the means to discover and enhance a language of self expression in participants.

Mae’r Lab Cerdd yn gyfle i archwilio posibiliadau technoleg cerdd fel ffordd o greu, recordio a golygu cerddoriaeth. Bydd y gweithdai’n ehangu eich ffiniau cyfansoddi a’ch technegau cynhyrchu.
Bydd y Lab Cerdd yn cael ei arwain gan y tiwtor Will Frampton, yn ogystal â detholiad o gerddorion proffesiynol. Bydd y cyfranogwyr yn creu seinweddau gyda’r cerddorion, gan ddefnyddio offerynnau cerdd traddodiadol yn ogystal â ffynonellau sain eraill, fel llais a sain a ganfyddir, i greu cerddoriaeth arbrofol a chelf sain. Bydd apiau, syntheseiddwyr, lŵps ac elfennau eraill o recordio a golygu sain hefyd yn cael eu defnyddio, a bydd croeso i gyfranogwyr ddod â’u hofferynnau eu hunain. Fydd dim rhwystrau i’ch creadigaethau!

Waeth beth yw’r ffurf ar gelfyddyd, wrth wraidd ein rhaglen ‘pobl ifanc greadigol’ mae’r awydd i annog chwilfrydedd dan arweiniad y celfyddydau, a chynnig ffordd o ddarganfod a gwella iaith o hunanfynegiant ymhlith cyfranogwyr.
