About this Event
On Tuesday 26 November at 6pm, we will be holding an in-person event in the Neuadd, Senedd to mark two years since the publication of the Quality Statement for Respiratory Disease.
Wales has the highest level of respiratory deaths in Western Europe, while 1 in 5 people live with a lung condition.
Despite this, lung conditions are not prioritised as they should be and there are misconceptions that illnesses like asthma, bronchiectasis and COPD are not life-threatening or serious. In fact, lung conditions are in the top three causes of death and cost the NHS in Wales £500m per year.
The event will bring together people with lung conditions, health care professionals, politicians and other organisation that we work with in Wales.
It will be sponsored by John Griffiths MS and our key guest speaker will be Dr Anthony Gibson, Clinical Lead for the NHS Executive Respiratory Network.
