The goal of the Pearlie Whitfield African American Read-In (PWAARI) is to encourage community members to experience the joy of reading and discussing books by African American authors that convey positive messages as a viable avenue for embracing personal and community change.
Join Project Ujima for an afternoon with many of Akron's best authors. You'll get to know a little about them and hear an excerpt from their book. We encourage you to attend and bring your family with you. This event is FREE and light refreshments will be served.
