ABOUT THE BOOK
The Gentleman Farmer is a work of literary fiction set in Napa Valley. Threaded throughout the novel is a vibrant cast of supporting characters—winemakers, consultants, business owners, vintners, patrons, and power brokers—many inspired by real figures and places in Napa Valley. For readers in the know, there is pleasure in uncovering their real-world counterparts, as these intersecting lives quietly connect the dots and help steer the fate of the protagonists. Only one of them will prevail: the true Gentleman Farmer.
"A must-read for all Napa lovers. The verisimilitude of the writing showcases an emerging talent." - Rex Pickett, author of Sideways
"Riveting." - John Caldwell, a smuggler and vitner.
"A vivid, accurate look at the wine world from an insider perspective, Garett makes our small valley compelling." - Phillipe Melka, celebrated Napa Valley winemaker
