Dive into the photojournalism of Mary Uyematsu Kao as she discusses her second book edition, Rockin the Boat: Flashbacks of the 1970s Asian Movement. Over 350 black and white photos chronicle the beginnings of the youth inspired multigeneration Japanese American community activism in Los Angeles. Their efforts spread from California to New York.
