Welcome to open auditions for "A Scandalous September" – a double-bill of Victorian melodramas, each about 30 minutes in length.
Auditions will be held at the NoName Theatre Helsinki on Sunday 10 May at 12–4 pm. Please note that you must register in advance in order to participate.

The PLAYS
"East Lynne" by Mrs Henry Wood, adapt. by Matthew Paines
"The Terror of London" adapt. by Zachariah Chamberlaine
AVAILABLE ACTING ROLES
"East Lynne" – 5 actors (3F, 2M)
"The Terror of London" – 4–5 actors (2–3M, 2–3F)

AVAILABILITY
You need to be available for all of the mandatory rehearsal, performance and backup dates – which are currently 28–30 August & 4–6 Sept – plus the dress and tech rehearsals (TBD in the period 23–27 Aug.
REHEARSALS
The rehearsal schedule will be set after casting. Rehearsals will begin asap in late May, but will be arranged with breaks around summer holidays as necessary.

PAYMENTS
Please note that the Finn-Brit Players is an amateur theatre company and this is not paid work but an opportunity for people to practice their hobby. If chosen, you will have to accept the terms and conditions of participation and become a paid-up member of the association before participating in the production. Annual FBP membership (February 2026–February 2027) is 50€ standard and 25€ concession.
