AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION SCREENINGIn this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tyre innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky."
Our screening of the all-time number one participation cult movie is an annual highlight of our Season and this year it is hosted by Manuao TeAotonga, as Frankenfurter, who will give you an insight on what to expect and how to participate!
THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW was Perth 1980’s cult institution when it screened for over FIVE YEARS every Friday midnight at one cinema.
For a younger generation it must be incredible to believe that one movie can run at one cinema for so long, yet people returned time and time again. Armed with rice and water pistols, dressed as their favourite character in the film, they sang along to the songs whilst team leaders out front under the screen lead the way.
