What to expect:A live performance by “Attica Road Elementals”! A local group of musicians incorporating hand drums, sound bowls, handpan and guitar to create an original, tribal & melodic sound that is the very essence of Ecstatic Dance.
4/20/25 is Easter Sunday! After morning festivities with the family, join us for approximately 90 mins. As we move our bodies how our bodies want to move to the original songs of Attica Road.
Most people dance, others connect deeply with themselves through yoga, stretch, rest. We hold space for authenticity and freedom of expression.
ARRIVE:
Doors open at 1:00pm.
WHERE:
Upper Ballroom at the Des Moines Ballroom, 1925 High St Des Moines, IA 50309
Located just behind Gateway Market. You can access the Ballroom parking lot through Gateway's parking lot. ENTER THRU THE UPSTAIRS STUDIO. There you will see parking for the Ballroom and a sign for Ecstatic Dance.
COST/DONATION:
$20 - $30 is the suggested donation to help pay the musicians & rent for the space.
Children (17 and under) are free with an adult
TRANSPARENCY
Each facilitator will be participating each week and is not offering with the intent to profit or provide business services. We collect money each week only to cover rent for the space & payment to musicians. While Ecstatic Dance may be therapeutic, it is not a therapy.

These will be explained more in depth at the beginning of each dance to new participants.
1. We dance without Shoes
2. We dance without Words
3. We dance as We Are, substance free event.
