Get ready for a day of connection, movement, and mental wellness at Safe Space Saturday: Mental Health Field Day hosted by Black Girls Smile. Designed for teens ages 13–17 and their parent/guardians, this uplifting event brings families together for engaging mental wellness workshops, a movement session, and a fun mental health relay race.
Come ready to learn, move your body, reset your mind, and reclaim your peace in a supportive space built for community, healing, and joy.

Info: A dedicated space for parents to relax, recharge, and connect. While students participate in activities, parents can unwind and create their own vision and affirmation boards, focusing on personal goals, positivity, and well-being.

Field Day Activities
Info: Mental Health Relay Zone :
A team-based activity where teens move through quick physical challenges paired with mental health prompts, building coping skills through movement and reflection.
Reset & Regulate Zone:
Participants create their own personalized stress relief kits with simple, practical tools to help manage emotions and practice self-care beyond the event.
Creative Expression Zone :
Participants design their own graffiti-style affirmation boards, using words and phrases that reflect positivity, identity, and personal growth.
Kona Ice will also be on-site providing free freeze cups for participants to enjoy throughout the Field Day.
