About this Event

🎭 Symphony Productions Presents:
Assembly School Bangers
Venue: The Fitzgerald Doors: 6:30 PM
Assembly Start: 7:30 PM
The Vibe: Nostalgic chaos. Big singalongs. Open bar. Strictly no detention.

Back to School. But Better.

Remember sitting cross-legged on a cold parquet floor, half-singing, half-miming your way through “All Things Bright and Beautiful” while a slightly deflated teacher tried to drag a bit more enthusiasm out of the back row?

Assembly School Bangers

is a cheeky, high-energy celebration of the songs that defined school assemblies reimagined for grown-ups. Led by our wonderfully unserious Headteacher, this is a joyful trip down memory lane where the hymn sheet is in one hand, a beer is in the other, and, for once, whispering at the back is perfectly acceptable.

What to Expect

From the manic joy of “Lord of the Dance” to the dreamy nostalgia of “Morning Has Broken” and the unmistakable opening lines of “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” we’re bringing back the assembly anthems that have somehow stayed lodged in your brain for life.

The Headteacher & Miss Appleton

Your hosts will keep the room in line with maximum enthusiasm, guiding you through every big chorus, dramatic pause, and lovingly over-the-top singalong as though assembly never really ended.

The Participation

Whether you were the star singer, the committed mimer, or far too cool to open your mouth, you’re part of the show. Expect audience singalongs, crowd interaction, and plenty of affectionate fun at the expense of our very specific shared childhood experience.

The same wholesome bangers. The same pressure to join in. Far better drinks.

The Details

Forget the assembly bell. Grab something from the bar and prepare for a night of gloriously unserious nostalgia, communal chaos, and songs you absolutely still know more words to than you’d care to admit.

It’s all the joy, awkwardness, and forced enthusiasm of school assembly — just with better outfits and better cocktails.

Dress Code: School ties optional. Sense of humour essential.
