To save his failing internet café business, Tai recruits his daughter, former action star Octo, and disgraced esports player Solo to take part in an esports tournament. But how will Solo lead a group of inexperienced gamers against the pros?
Teamwork is the name of the game in Dickson Leung’s crowd-pleasing underdog comedy, the first Hong Kong film to tackle the esports phenomenon. Rather than relying fully on computer graphics, action choreographer Ken Law brings the thrill of gaming alive by combining CGI and real action, creating a spectacular vision of what a multi-player shooter game might look like in real life.
