Welcome to our latest round of face-to face Employment Law Breakfasts.
The Employment Rights Bill received Royal Assent on 18 December 2025 and is now the Employment Rights Act 2025. Having become law, the Employment Rights Act has introduced significant changes to UK employment law. Certain reforms have come into effect already, while others will be introduced within the next couple of months. Further changes are to follow in April and October 2026, although these are still be consulted over. An assessment on the impact of removing the unfair dismissal compensation cap needs to be published before the unfair dismissal sections of the new act can be implemented. However, there is plenty of work for employers to do now so that they are ready when these further changes are rolled out.
No doubt the vast changes introduced by the Act has made some employers anxious, with more protections being afforded to employees which need to be made clear now. Our breakfast sessions will provide you with up-to-date information and help you to navigate the upcoming changes.
