About this Event
In this five-day, 12.5 hour immersion, we will deconstruct the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga method to reveal the hidden elements that lie beneath the surface of practice. Rather than simply moving through the set sequences, this training offers an in-depth exploration of the why and how behind each posture and the system as a whole.
Designed for both students and teachers — whether new to Ashtanga or seasoned practitioners — the course builds a strong foundation by uncovering the philosophical, physical, and spiritual lessons embedded in the method. Together, we will look beyond memorization of poses to the deeper principles that sustain the practice.
Guided by Kino, this immersion emphasizes accessibility, adaptability, yoga therapy, the cultivation of a meditative mind, and the softer side of Ashtanga often overlooked in classical presentations. By expanding the definition of Ashtanga Yoga to embrace the integration of breath, body, and mind, we honor the essence of the lineage while widening its scope to support the many ways practice can be applied in modern life.
