Creatives! Festival season is upon us, and to kick off come celebrate the BlackDot Artrepreneurs anniversary!
The arts collective is made up of (but not only limited to) creatives of the African diaspora coming together to network, educate, and create a supportive community and an accountability group for the purpose of growing and thriving, individually and together. The program's 15 objectives focus on empowering creatives throughout the Puget Sound region mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially, socially, and culturally. In this group, members will have the chance to be trained by premiere Seattle artists, meet and interact with all types of creatives, receive tools and tips for growing your career, and more. The idea is that the creatives come together to formulate partnerships, teach, and exchange their products, services, literacy, and resources among each other.
Last year, we surveyed a number of cultural art producers in the area who requested events and classes or offered services regarding: music economy of upcoming artists, diversity inclusion access and belonging, leadership, more creative spaces and experiences, business startup, trade services, healing, speaking engagements, money to sustain everyday life sustainable solutions, trainings and certifications, resources to elevate talents, day parties, marketing and branding, help people get funding for art, address entrepreneurial mindset, events and social justice work youth, and assistance small businesses with projects.
We have been going strong consistently since last year, it would be an honor for you all to celebrate with us Tuesday April 15th at Madespace at 6:00 PM! Come learn more about our arts collective, we’ll have networking, food & refreshments, music & dancing with live entertainment performances, and hear from a panelist of creatives from our collective and community on the latest happenings in the arts industry!
