This interactive workshop helps visual artists increase visibility and reach new audiences. Led by PR and marketing expert Cherrie Woods, the session breaks down how to create a clear PR and promotions plan using real-world examples and a simple framework. Artists will learn practical ways to promote their work, connect with media and communities, and build confidence around sharing their art.

Facilitator Bio

Cherrie Woods is a publicist, PR consultant, and workshop facilitator for authors, visual artists, creative entrepreneurs, and small businesses. She integrates education into every campaign, empowering clients with the strategy and confidence to sustain their visibility. Her current client list includes internationally renowned Nigerian artist Temi Wynston Edun, based in Howard County, who recently launched his first U.S. solo exhibition at Gallery Blue Door.
She has led communications for major exhibitions at the Detroit Institute of Arts and served as the first Director of Marketing & Public Relations at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, where she increased attendance by 10% and launched its most popular program. Based in Baltimore, Cherrie continues to support artists and creatives, has taught at MICA, and has been featured on Maryland Public Television, SiriusXM, and in The Baltimore Sun.
