Join Bloomington Public Library in welcoming its second Artist in Residence, Meghan Phelps! Meghan’s workshops will take teens and adults on a journey through cosplay. The Saturday following each workshop, Meghan will offer a drop-in Q&A session to allow patrons to ask questions or receive help with the material presented in the previous workshop. Workshops require registration; drop-in sessions do not.
Workshops and drop-in Q&A sessions will meet on the following dates in the library’s Innovation Lab:
Intro to Cosplay
--- Workshop will meet Thursday, June 4, from 5:30-7:30pm; read more and register at bit.ly/cosplay0604 (registration opens May 21)
--- Related Q&A session will meet on Saturday, June 13, from 1-2pm; no registration
Cosplay on a Budget
--- Workshop will meet Thursday, June 25, from 5:30-7:30pm; read more and register at bit.ly/cosplay0625 (registration opens June 10)
--- Related Q&A session will be held on Saturday, June 27, from 1-2pm
Sewing Basics & Bookmarks
--- Workshop will meet Thursday, July 9, from 5:30-7:30pm; read more and register at bit.ly/sewing0709 (registration opens June 24)
--- Related Q&A session will be held on Saturday, July 11, from 1-2pm
Makeup Tips & Tricks (basics & FX effects)
--- Workshop will meet Thursday, July 23, from 5:30-7:30pm; read more and register at bit.ly/makeup0723 (registration opens July 8)
--- Related Q&A session will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 1-2pm
