About this Event

Synopsis

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly influencing the way we live, learn and work, with growing applications across healthcare, business, education and the creative industries. As AI continues to develop, it offers significant opportunities for innovation, improved efficiency and better decision-making, while also raising important ethical and societal questions.

Delivered by student speakers Amirthavarshini Vimaleshwara Raja and Abinaya Sri Arunkumar, this session will explore both the potential benefits and the wider implications of AI in everyday life. Through practical examples and discussion, attendees will consider how AI is already being used across different sectors, as well as the challenges associated with fairness, privacy, accountability and the impact of automation.

This session aims to provide an accessible and balanced introduction to AI, encouraging delegates to think critically about how these technologies are shaping society and the responsibilities that come with their use.

Delegates will gain a broader understanding of AI in real-world contexts, the opportunities it offers, the ethical issues it raises, and the importance of responsible, inclusive approaches to its development and application.
