Join artist and expert production printmaker Mandy Turner for a hands-on introduction to drypoint printmaking, a type of intaglio etching that involves drawing grooves into a surface with a sharp stylus. In this workshop, you’ll experiment with mark making, inking, and pulling prints using plexiglass and an etching press. Draw inspiration from the print works currently on view in the exhibitions “Hard Edge/Soft Ground” and “Personal to Political,” as well as source images provided by Mandy.
By the end of the evening, you’ll create an original 5 × 7-inch drypoint print on professional-grade printmaking paper to take home.
