Artful Adventure is a day-long celebration of creativity designed for the whole family! This fun-filled day features classic, fan-favorite CAC programs like Family Fest, with special art activations and more throughout the day. Hundreds of local families will be visiting CAC that day!
Artful City • 10am-2pm
Cincinnati is a city filled with art and creative people! Join in on the fun with some collaborative city building using kid-size cardboard houses and repurposed materials. Experiment with paint and unique art supplies to design a colorful, creative community!
Blue Tape Mural • 10am-2pm
Collaborate with visitors of all ages on a giant blue tape mural in the Creativity Center window! Let our city skyline be your inspiration! Use the blue tape to create a life-size mural that focuses on what makes out community so special.
Clay Ghost Making with Artist Michael Stillion • 10am-12pm
Create a ceramic ghost to take home with help from CAC artists Michael Stillion! Small ghost are hidden throughout Stillion’s current exhibition and often found in his work. He views these ghosts as a point of connection between people. Led by the artist himself, this station allows visitors of all ages to create their own hand-held ghost to take home. The project uses air-dry clay so no kiln is required!
Gallery Ghost Hunt! • 10am-2pm
Stop by the CAC’s 4th floor gallery to participate in a gallery ghost hunt throughout Michael Stillion’s And then it was flowers exhibition. We’ll have CAC Docents on hand to guide you through this gallery ghost hunt. Those who find all hidden ghosts will receive a glow-in-the-dark temporary ghost tattoo. Don’t miss out on creating a ghost of your own at the Michael Stillion clay ghost station.
Artist in Residence: Micah Mickles
The CAC has long been a Laboratory for artists offering the unique opportunity to explore new techniques and concepts within our gallery walls. In this tradition, we invite contemporary artists to set up shop at the CAC, in the form of an educational residency. Join artist Micah Mickles to learn about their personal practice and grow and create together.
Collaborative Printing with Take a Moment Studios
Join local artists Jon Flannery and Joe Walsh of Take a Moment Studio to create one-of-a-kind poster-sized works through drawing and printmaking processes. Stop by the sixth floor Creativity Center to meet these fantastic artists and make a print to take home.
Playscape Pit Stop
Need a moment to sit and play? We’ve got you covered with our curated playscape filled with sensory materials and exploratory toys for all ages. Play is such an important part of creative thinking, and this play station is filled with interactive objects that are sure to your child’s interest.
All proceeds from Artful Adventure support CAC’s exhibitions and education programs throughout the year, ensuring CAC remains a lab for understanding ourselves, others, and the world around us through the experience and creation of all contemporary art forms.
