About this Event
Join us at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for ArtBreak, a free 30-minute guided tour. “The Presence of Color: Who Gets to be Seen?” examines how artist Jeremy Okai Davis challenges the history of photography and visual culture by rethinking the intersection of color, race, and representation. Through bold portraiture and pixel-like painting techniques, Davis invites viewers to question how technology and culture have historically shaped our perception of Black skin and identity.
Take a meaningful pause in your day and join us for this midday exhibition tour celebrating women’s history through art. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
