Create a masterpiece with artist and educator Heather 'Bird' Harris in this workshop where she will break down the technique of making art with natural inks through a series of approachable exercises and activities. Participants are invited to bring their inks and questions from at-home practice to troubleshoot. We'll share our inks, learn methods for storing, and enjoy painting and experimenting with native color. This event is Part 2 of a Natural Inks Workshop. Part 1 takes place June 01, 2024 where we will be foraging for some of the many natural materials planted and installed on the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum to use in ink creation and learn about the process of turning natural materials into ink. You do not need to attend both classes to enjoy the experience. Learn more about the Foraging Walk here.
