About this Event
Join us for this special art series: Watercolors in Nature!
Camille is an artist, nature educator, and volunteer with The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County. This spring we are partnering on a three part series to introduce basic watercolor skills. These events are designed to be supportive and engaging for young people and are open to everyone looking to try their hand at creating art in nature. This series is best for youth aged eight and older with the participation of a parent or other supporting adult. All are invited to attend!
In this second gathering of a three part series, we will focus on:
- Intention: working in realism (without judgement)
- Skills: brush technique, water usage, and wet on wet color mixing
Participation in all three Art Walks is encouraged by not required. Sign up for Art Walk #1 and Art Walk #3.
Materials can be provided for students on the walk so please look for a follow up email with the opportunity to indicate you would like to use our supplies. If you would like to purchase your own materials, a suggested supplies list will also be included.
Access to the Pismo Preserve is free, however there is a $5 daily fee to park in the lot. Please plan ahead to allow time to walk from nearby free parking areas or to complete vehicle registation on site. More information on parking or to obtain a yearly parking pass can be found on our website at https://lcslo.org/pismo-preserve/.
