Art Party at iZone Lofts (Dundas and Carlaw) Unit 140
The Creative Pack is a new group of emerging local artists who believe that creativity thrives in community. After months of workshopping individual projects together, they're throwing a party to showcase their work on Saturday, October 18th from 6-9PM!
Habiba Elmi, JD Laljani, Sofiya Makarova, Ben Castle, Chrisantha Chetty, Tisha Myles, and Temba Middlemann meet in a Leslieville loft to work side-by-side on creative projects, where they have focused sessions of parallel work and discussions of creative process.
They're challenging the starving-solo-artist-in-a-garret narrative, and want you to witness the fruits of their communal creativity! In the very same loft where all the artistic magic happened, they're throwing a party.
Come support local art which will include paintings, poetry, sound collage, wood engraving, and music. To tie it all together, co-curator Chrisantha has paired each work with a food or drink so you can enjoy art with all five senses!
Wear something fun, BYO-whatever, and get ready to enjoy art created right in your neighbourhood by The Creative Pack!
No tickets required and this is a FREE event. All you need to do is show up!!
Note: When you arrive, please enter the party directly through the doors of Unit 140 on Dundas Street toward the West side of the building!(not through the main doors).
