About this Event
Art of Connection - Making Safe Spaces
Join us for the opening of Art of Connection – Making Safe Spaces as part of Huddersfield Literature Festival this is a community exhibition sharing photographs, collages and poetry created by children & older adults inspired by thoughts of connection, belonging & safety.
Through photography, collage, conversation and poetry, they’ve shared stories, reflected on their experiences and created work that captures everyday life in thoughtful and imaginative ways.
This exhibition brings that work together and celebrates the creativity, voices and relationships that have grown through the project.
The opening event will also feature a live poetry performance by Michelle Scally Clarke, one of the artists involved in the project.
Visitors are warmly invited to come along, explore the exhibition, and add their own reflections, stories or creative responses as part of the experience.
