ARTIST STATEMENT
"Abstract painting is a place to explore by not attaching to an expected outcome. When I paint, I use it as a meditation to clear my mind and create meaning through intuitive watercolor strokes. Stepping back between layers, I allow space for the paint to work its own magic before adding in intentional details. Much of my work is inspired by movement and by my surroundings in the Pacific Northwest."
