About this Event
In June, National Indigenous History Month, join us for an introductory workshop on traditional beading techniques, led by Stephanie Peltier. You will have the opportunity to make a beaded odehimin (strawberry). The workshop is open to all Indigenous and non-Indigenous people aged 16 and over who wish to discover this art and its cultural significance.
What is the Art from the Archives series?
Designed to spark your creativity, this series invites you to explore the lesser-known artworks from the collections preserved at Library and Archives Canada. Each workshop begins with a brief presentation of selected artworks and archives, followed by a creative activity led by a local artist. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary!
