Join us on the first and third Thursday of each month during the academic semesters to spend time with a work of art on view in the Colby College Museum of Art's galleries. This week, the Linde Family Foundation Educator for College Audiences, Phoebe Zipper will focus on the artwork, The Twenty-Four Solar Terms: Vernal Equinox by Xiaoyang Cao.
Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking, an educational approach that asks people to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art as a way to make connections and create meaning for yourself. These looking experiences are facilitated by museum staff, interns, community collaborators, and special guests.
