Racial inequity, gender inequality, social justice: what are they and what do they look like? Explore how art can be a tool for social change in this hands-on, 90-minute workshop with Graphic Content mixed-media artist Diana T. Myers. Through guided instruction, participants will create a work of art that depicts a social issue they are passionate about. To prepare for the workshop, participants should identify a current issue and determine a clear point of view to depict. Participants are also encouraged to bring materials to express their perspective, including found objects like maps, dolls, game boards and pieces, photos, etc. A list of necessary materials will be e-mailed to participants before the workshop.
This workshop is intended for adults at all skill levels. Space is limited, so book today!
