This presentation explores how accessible bathrooms no longer need to feel institutional, but can instead be thoughtfully designed with beautiful finishes, tile applications, and innovative construction methods. Attendees will learn about accessibility standards in Canada, curbless shower design, specialized waterproofing requirements, and how to integrate custom elements such as seating, niches, grab bars, and benches while maintaining compliance and visual appeal.
CEU Presentation 2 (Roppe): Color Theory Helps Explain our Relationship to Wellbeing :
Explore the connection between color, biophilic design and wellness. This presentation will touch upon the various topics:
• Gain insight in the history of color and groups that manage color choices.
• Understand the benefits and concerns with color, both psychological and physiological. [health]
• Explore the connections between color, nature, biophilic design, and wellness. [welfare]
• Discuss wayfinding and other uses of color to enhance safety.
