An exhibition celebrating the creativity, culture and character of Northern Australia is set to open at the Broome Civic Centre this May.Presented in collaboration with Kimberley Arts Network, Art Above the 26th showcases artists who live and work above the 26th parallel, exploring the landscapes, people and stories that shape our region.
The exhibition brings together a diverse collection of emerging and established artists, featuring works inspired by identity, connection, culture and the unique environment of Northern Western Australia. Audiences can expect an eclectic mix of styles and mediums, highlighting the depth of artistic talent found across the Kimberley and beyond.
This year’s exhibition also shines a spotlight on artists who may not yet have had the opportunity to exhibit widely, creating a platform for new voices and fresh perspectives within the local arts scene.
