Celebrate connection, culture and community at a special Reconciliation Week edition of the Town Beach Night Markets at Guwarri Town Beach on Tuesday, 2 June from 4pm to 8pm.
Presented in partnership with the Broome Markets coinciding with the iconic Staircase to the Moon, the evening will feature a vibrant program of cultural performances, First Nations creatives, live music and community activities.
The event will commence with a smoking ceremony led by Nyamba Buru Yawuru, followed by a Welcome to Country and formal proceedings.
Visitors can explore the First Nations Fashion, Art and Crafts Market, delivered in partnership with Kimberley Aboriginal Fashion and Textile Arts (KAFTA), showcasing First Nations artists and creative practitioners across fashion, art and handmade crafts.
The evening will also feature a photoshoot celebrating fashion, dance and the natural beauty of Broome, alongside traditional and contemporary dance performances by Burrb Wanggarru Ngurlu Dance Crew, led by Tara Gower.
Live music performances by Tye Jay and The Seaside Drifters will round out the evening festivities.
