Armada Coast 1588 Heritage Trail - 3.2 miles
The Armada Coastal Trail begins and ends at Norman Chapels at Bonchurch and St Lawrence whose bells were rung on the 25th July 1588 at sight of the Spanish Armada. The walk starts at 10.10am, with a quick 10 minute Armada introduction at the Church before setting off.
Above the trail are the Downs upon which warning beacons were lit.

Pace of Walk: Gentle - This walk will follow a gentle pace.
Walk grade: Fairly Easy - Gentle, rolling landscape, walking on paths with good to average surfaces. Some walking on gentle inclines, some stiles or steps to be expected en route.
Suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.

Public Toilets are available at Monks Bay on Bonchurch shore; Ventnor Eastern Esplanade; Ventnor Park.
The walk is flat and wheelchair friendly from Bonchurch to Ventnor along the revetment but not suitable for wheelchairs from Ventnor La Falaise to St Lawrence along the Armada 1588 Coastal Trail.
The whole Trail is suitable for dogs to accompany owners.
