The Center proudly presents Arias and Art Songs for Cello and Piano, an elegant program performed by acclaimed Armenian cellist Hasmik Vardanyan and distinguished pianist Dr. Alina Klimaszewska.
This unique concert transforms operatic arias and art songs into rich, expressive works for cello and piano. Audiences will be transported through Romantic and late-Romantic masterworks by Beethoven, Dvořák, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Rachmaninov, Wagner, Poulenc, and Fauré.
Hasmik Vardanyan has graced the stages of Carnegie Hall, the Paris Opera House, Berlin Opera House, and Tchaikovsky Music Hall in Moscow, and is a top prizewinner of numerous prestigious international competitions . Her artistry combines commanding technique with profound emotional depth, promising an unforgettable musical journey.
At the piano, Dr. Alina Klimaszewska, Adjunct Professor of Music at Houston Christian University, brings her refined musicianship and extensive international performing experience. A recipient of distinguished awards, including recognition from the Frédéric Chopin Society in Warsaw, Dr. Klimaszewska is celebrated for her versatility as both soloist and collaborative artist.
