Aretha Franklin by Vanessa Haynes of Incognito

Having one of the most exceptional voices in contemporary British UK soul music, we are thrilled to welcome Vanessa Haynes (from Incognito) back to the Boisdale stage for a special tribute to the iconic Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin (1942-2018). Based in London, Haynes honed her skills as a backing vocalist for Van Morrison and Chaka Khan before transitioning into the spotlight as the lead singer of the British funk icons, Incognito.

Alongside her talented band, she will deliver a memorable performance featuring a selection of Aretha's timeless classics like "Chain Of Fools," "Respect," "I Say A Little Prayer," and "(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman." With her rich gospel-inspired vocals, it's no wonder the Evening Standard described her as a 'soulful powerhouse.' We couldn't agree more.

Jools Holland is Patron of Music at Boisdale of Belgravia which was founded in 1989. It is a lively, warm and atmospheric restaurant with a number of spaces, including the atrium roofed Macdonald Bar and restaurant, the lovely Courtyard Garden, and the comfortable Terrace, Speakeasy Whisky Bar, three private dining rooms, live music every night, wonderful modern and classical British cuisine and a superb wine list.
