About this Event
This robot ballet will explore the evolving relationship between technology and human expression, pushing the traditional boundaries of performance art and exploring new forms of audience engagement.
Dr. Merritt Moore (ArtLab artist-in-residence 2020) is a quantum physicist and professional ballet dancer who graduated from Harvard College with an undergraduate degree in physics and a PhD in Atomic and Laser Physics from the University of Oxford. She is an adjunct professor at NYU Abu Dhabi teaching “Creative Robotics & Tech, ” a course that fuses innovation, entrepreneurship, science, and technology. She was a professional ballet dancer with the English National Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet, Zurich Ballet, and continues to perform with Boston Ballet.
