About the Performers
Ardentia Piano Trio
The Ardentia Trio is made up of professional musicians based in Manchester: Nadia Dotsiak (piano), Max Jones-Lachman (violin), and Rebekah Clarke (cello). They have most recently performed at the International Anthony Burgess Foundation, St James and Emmanuel in Didsbury, and Bury Parish Church as guest artists, alongside possessing extensive experience as solo artists. Motivated by their passion for sharing a variety of music from contemporary and underrepresented composers as well as well-loved classics, they love to collaborate with composers and performers alike to share exciting concerts and repertoire. From being founded at the RNCM, they have been fortunate to receive coaching from Magnus Johnson, Susie Meszaros, Donald Grant, Petr Prause, Harvey Davies, Jeremy Young, and Murray McLachlan.
As an ensemble, they thrive on collaborating with living composers, with a specialism in contemporary music. Recent projects include a collaboration with Cameron Biles-Liddell through performing Clockwork Dances, as well as Jennifer Higdon on her Piano Trio. Through forging professional relationships with current composers, the Ardentia Trio excel in expressing refined interpretations of new and unheard works, presenting intriguing programmes of unknown, new, and favourite works.
Nadia Dotsiak is a Ukrainian pianist under the tutelage of Murray McLachlan, aiming to connect with audiences through performances of Liszt's Concerto No. 2 and Bach's Concerto in D Minor. In 2020, she was honoured with third prize at the Gloria Artists International Piano Competition in Vienna.
Max Jones-Lachman is a violinist from London, under the tutelage of Cecily Ward. Having performed Bruch’s Violin Concerto with the Camden Symphony Orchestra, he has performed as a soloist across London, including Wigmore Hall and St Cyprian’s Church.
Rebekah Clarke is a cellist, studying under the tutelage of Victoria Simonson, supported by the Marie Thecla Kieran Award. Having performed Huw Watkins’ Sonata for Cello and Eight Instruments, she is also a driven collaborative performer and educator.
Emma Farnsworth
Emma Farnsworth is in the final year of her Masters at the RNCM under the tutelage of Dr. Louise Lansdown. She is an enthusiastic chamber musician who has performed in the Wigmore Hall with the Bevan Quartet.
