Join us for ARCI's usual apero, this time exceptionally on a Friday, for a night of collective reflection ahead of March 8, a reminder that we are not alone and that resistance lives in every choice we make to stand together ❤️‍🔥
What does it mean to exist as women loudly in a world that demands our silence? To take space in a system that was not design to have women blooming? What does it mean to gather when the system wants us scattered, isolated, alone?
This Friday, we create space: space to breathe, space to speak. Space to remember that our collective presence is already an act of resistance, as coming together is revolutionary. Because showing up for each other is how we refuse to disappear, and we do it gently, through poetry, but without forgetting our emotions: with rage, with tenderness, ultimately always in solidarity. Not by coincidence ARCI's motto this year is a cactus with a flower: resilience and delicacy together, strength and kindness coexisting. 🌵🌺
📖 20:00 - Poetry by Rachele Gusella, poet and researcher at VUB. Author of various poetic texts and exhibitions, her work is characterized by linguistic and media experimentation: words that don't just speak, but transform.
🎤 20:30 - Open Mic: the floor is yours to take the stage and share your thoughts about what March 8 means to you.
Your voice belongs here. Whether you've written something new, want to share an old favorite, or just need to speak what's been sitting heavy in your chest, this is your space. A safe space for listening, witnessing, and holding space for each other.
