Explore rarely seen archival materials, and celebrate the launch of our new Black History in Psychology Tour!
About this Event

No history of psychology is complete without the stories of Black psychologists. This year marks the launch of our new Black History in Psychology Tour, a self-guided experience through the National Museum of Psychology that highlights the contributions of Black psychologists past and present. From pioneering figures like Charles Henry Turner and Mamie Phipps Clark to innovative research in intelligence, employment, and child development, this tour introduces visitors to a wealth of historical perspectives. Beginning in February, the Black History in Psychology Tour booklet will be available to museum visitors year-round at our front desk, at no additional cost.

During this free celebratory Open House, we’ll be setting up shop throughout the Museum, showing off rarely seen photographs, documents, and materials. Drop-in between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM to explore Black history in psychology, from the early 20th century to the present!

This event is free to attend, but registration is encouraged. Please RSVP to let us know you’re coming!
