Celebrate Spokane's 23rd year as a Tree City USA at our Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 25, 11 am- 2 pm, at Finch Arboretum, presented by Bartlett Tree Experts with additional support from Avista. Rain or shine. FREEThis free event features fun family activities, live music, tree care and environmental education, free seedlings, and more. A Tree City USA Ceremony and Touch and See Nature Trail ribbon-cutting will be held at 1:00 p.m.
• Free small regular coffee or small hot cocoa and free small kettle corn to first 150 people thanks to Avista!
• Live music by Daniel Hall
• Spokane County Regional Waste Ambassadors will teach how to turn yard and food waste into "black gold" for your garden
• Spokane County residents may take home a free compost bin or countertop food waste container. Limit one per household, supplies limited. Bins provided in part by the Washington State
• Department of Ecology. Please bring proof of residency and arrive no later than 1:30 pm.
• Free Compost while supplies last thanks to Barr-Tech bring your own Bucket
• Bartlett Tree Experts will give out tree seedlings and hold a tree climbing demonstration
• Raffle including a free tree and other prizes
• Arts and crafts project coordinated by the Corbin Art’s Center staff in the Woodland Center
• Ceremonial tree planting and demonstration (following the Tree City USA Ceremony)
