About this Event

Whether you’re brand new to football, dusting off your boots after some time off the pitch, or are a confident player looking to get into 11-a-side, we invite you to come to this open training session.

We’ll be running training sessions for players of different abilities, helping you to get ready to play 11-a-side. After training, we’ll play a friendly match to give you some game experience.

This event, and the North West Community Football League, is open to people of all genders. We aim to provide an inclusive, respectful, and fun environment to play competitive football.

Tickets are available at £0, £4, or £8 (plus Eventbrite fees). Please pay whichever amount you can afford.

By attending this event, you can also help us to shape what our league will look like and meet other players and league volunteers. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Who should attend?

This event is for footballers of all genders, aged 18 and over.

Absolute beginners: Looking to start playing football in a fun and competitive environment? Come get started, we’ll help you find your feet.

5- or 7-a-side players: Got some experience playing 5-a-side, but want to try out 11-a-side? We’ll help you translate your existing skills onto the big pitch!

Experienced 11-a-side players: If you’ve played 11-a-side before but are struggling to find an inclusive league, we’d love you to join us!

Curious volunteers: Not sure you want to play football, but interested in the North West Community Football League? Come down to chat to us about getting involved!

Interested league teams and individuals: If you’re looking to enter a team into our forthcoming open-gender 11-a-side league, this session will help you to build your squad. If you’re looking to join our league as an individual, come on down to meet other players and the league organisers.
