This month in queer lit book club we're reading Jam on the Vine by LaShonda Katrice Barnett. The book should be read prior to the meeting, but don't worry if you don't get around to finishing it all. Our book clubs are casual and everyone is welcome.
RSVP is required for all book clubs. Book clubs are free if you buy the book from us (for 10% off!) or $5 if you buy the book elsewhere. If purchasing a ticket with the book, your book will be available for in-store pickup within approximately 5 days of your order, but you will be notified when your book is ready for pickup.
About the book: A dynamic and compulsive debut, Jam on the Vine chronicles the life of trailblazing African American woman journalist, Ivoe Williams, through the start of the twentieth century. In unflinching prose, we follow Ivoe and her family from the Deep South to the Midwest.
