About this Event
Our third XR meet-up brings together enthusiasts and professionals from across the North East to explore one of the most exciting areas in immersive technology right now: the creation of virtual spaces.
This event is part of a growing series of community-led XR gatherings, designed to connect people working across virtual, augmented, and mixed reality, from early experimentation to industry-level development.
We’ll begin the evening with short community updates, where local creators and companies will share what they’re currently building. These stand-ups are a great way to discover local talent, spark collaborations, and stay in touch with what’s happening across the region.
The second part of the evening will feature a keynote focused on designing and building virtual environments. We’ll explore how immersive spaces are being created and used today, including social and creative platforms, showcase environments, and virtual exhibitions.
Following this, we’ll move into a more interactive demo session, where attendees will have the opportunity to “world hop” and experience different approaches to spatial design, interaction, and storytelling across platforms.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in immersive technologies. Whether you’re actively building or just starting to explore, you’ll find opportunities to learn, connect, and get inspired.
