About this Event
Please join us for a bird outing at Seward Park on Sunday, April 13 at 10:00am. We will gather on the grassy area southwest of the Seward Park Audubon Center building, near the playground. From there we will be traveling up into the forested trails of the park and along the water of Andrews Bay on a paved trail before closing the circle back to the Center.
Accessibility: The forested dirt trails are well maintained for walking, though narrow and inclined and not accessible for wheels. We expect to cover between 2-3 miles at a gentle walking pace and to finish by 12:30pm. Please dress for the weather. We suggest bringing snacks and/or water. Restrooms are available near the meeting place.
Whether you're new to birding or a seasoned songbird seeker, this will be a great opportunity to connect with our feathered friends and fellow feminists. All are welcome on this outing!
We know that some people may need to wear a mask and maintain distance in order to participate safely. This outing is limited to 25 people. We are asking everyone to bring a mask and give adequate space for anyone who indicates they need it. We also require that all participants follow .

LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION
Seward Park can be reached by car, bike, or bus.
By car: There are several parking lots near the Seward Park Audubon Center (5902 Lake Washington Blvd. South Seattle, WA 98118). Designated accessible parking spots are along Lake Washington, by the tennis courts, and by the clay studio.
By bike: Lake Washington Blvd. is a common bike route, though there is not a designated bike lane.
By bus: King County Metro Route 50 serves the closest stops, approximately 1/10th of a mile from the meeting place.
