On 6 June, we are delighted to welcome acclaimed illustrator and artist Jamel Akib back to the Club for a special members’ appraisal afternoon, following his inspiring demonstration for us in February.This is a fantastic opportunity to have your artwork professionally reviewed and receive constructive, insightful feedback from an experienced practising artist. Whether you are looking for guidance on composition, colour, technique or simply a fresh perspective on your work, appraisals can be both inspiring and invaluable for artistic development.
Depending on numbers, members may initially be invited to submit one painting each for appraisal, with the possibility of a second piece if time allows.
Even if you are not bringing work for critique, the afternoon promises to be engaging and informative. Listening to a professional artist discuss the strengths, challenges and possibilities within a variety of artworks offers valuable learning for artists of all abilities, and plenty of inspiration too.
Venue: All Saints Hall, Petersfield Road, Winchester SO23 0JD (Map) from 2:30 to 4:30 pm There is parking in the Church Hall car park and free 2-hour on-road parking on Petersfield Road nearby. There is unlimited free parking further along Petersfield Road.
