ASIST Training Workshop- April 2026

Join us for an exciting two-day in-person two day ASIST Training in April 2026 at the Marina Village Conference Center. This workshop is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to provide effective support to individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and make a real difference in people's lives.

Key Features of ASIST:· In-person workshop: The training takes place over two days and includes a blend of audiovisual presentations, discussions, and hands-on simulations.

· Skill-building: Participants learn how to conduct a suicide intervention, focusing on how to listen effectively, ask the right questions, and assess the level of risk.

· Safety planning: The course guides participants through creating a safety plan with individuals in distress, connecting them to appropriate professional support.

· Focus on attitudes: ASIST also helps participants reflect on how personal and societal attitudes about suicide influence the willingness to seek help and provide effective support.

· Supportive trainers: The course is led by four experienced, knowledgeable trainers who create a safe and supportive learning environment.

· Improved confidence: By the end of the course, participants are expected to have increased confidence and readiness to offer suicide first aid.

This training is especially beneficial for people in positions where they may encounter individuals who are at risk, such as mental health professionals, educators, community leaders, and even friends and family. It equips them with the necessary skills and mindset to support people in crisis and reduce the risk of suicide.

Dates are Thursday, April 02, 2026 and Friday, April 03, 2026.
