About this Event

This two-day interactive workshop offers you a space to learn suicide first-aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST can be learned and used by anyone.

To receive credit for this workshop participants need to attend both days of the workshop from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The ASIST workshop information sheet can be viewed by clicking .

Doors will open at 8:00 AM and lunch will be for one hour on your own each day.

For questions please contact Wendi Shackelford, [email protected] and Carrie Rowland, [email protected]

Learn ASIST is not recommended for anyone who is actively grieving a death by suicide. For more info about ASIST please visit.
