What to expect
Join Heart Comonos for our Circular Economy Initiative workshops on Mending, Weaving, and Appliance Repair! These workshops are part of the Heart Comonos mission to promote environmental wellness through sustainable practices and skill development.
Our goal for these workshops is to extend the usability of household items to minimize waste sent to landfills, and to reduce our dependence on mass-produced retailers. With help from our expert “fixers,” we will do our best to repair items, and to teach community members the skills required to do it for themselves.
In this workshop, we will have a variety of Fixers ready to help you fix your E-Waste. They are able to repair:
- Bikes
- Books
- Clothing/Bags
- Small appliances
- Small furniture
- Toys
Materials will be provided. Please bring ONE item in need of fixing and any parts that came with it.
We are deeply thankful to the Region of Peel for supporting this project through Peel Region’s Circular Economy Fund Initiative 2026. We are also thankful to The City of Mississauga for helping us to run these events with knowledgable volunteers.
