The annual Classical Saxophone Summer School is back! Join us in Tāmaki Makaurau, at the University of Auckland School of Music. Waitangi Weekend, 6–8 February 2026.Over three action-packed days, participants will develop their solo and ensemble skills, saxophone technique and control, as well as having the opportunity to perform in masterclasses and group lessons. There will be trade stalls with gear to test and trial, as well as experts on hand to assist with correct setup and use. There will also be plenty of gear to be won, including quiz and spot prizes!
The Aotearoa NZ Classical Saxophone Summer School is the country's premier event for concert/classical saxophone and provides the unique opportunity for participants to learn from some of the top international saxophone artists.

Our lineup of internationally recognised tutors includes Alice Morgan (Sydney), Dr Yo-yo Su (Melbourne) and Michael Jamieson (Auckland).
Players of all levels and experience are welcome.
The weekend concludes with a final performance by the full participants' saxophone ensemble. (Music will be distributed in advance, so get your registrations in early so we can get music out to you!)
