About this Event
Join us for the inaugural AOT ENT EssENTials Course!
Join us for the inaugural AOT ENT EssENTials Course - a high-yield teaching day designed to support the next generation of ENT registrars.
Following the cancellation of the DOHNS and MRCS ENT examinations, many trainees have lost a structured framework for consolidating core ENT knowledge. The AOT ENT EssENTials Course has been developed to preserve the educational legacy of these examinations, delivering focused teaching aligned with the traditional DOHNS/MRCS ENT syllabus and the knowledge base expected of doctors progressing into registrar-level ENT training.
This course is delivered through a collaboration between the Association of Otolaryngologists in Training (AOT) and Imperial College London, with academic support from the Imperial ENT ST3 Bootcamp team, who have extensive experience delivering high-quality national teaching programmes for trainees transitioning to registrar-level practice.
Designed specifically for ENT SHOs and junior trainees, the course provides a structured, high-yield review of core ENT topics, helping bridge the gap between SHO-level knowledge and the clinical reasoning expected of registrars.
Teaching will be delivered through concise, focused sessions led by an expert faculty of leading ENT consultants and senior registrars, covering key concepts across the specialty. Sessions will emphasise common ENT presentations, investigations, and management principles, with a strong focus on the decision-making expected of future ENT registrars.
